On May 8, 2022, at approximately 2:20 pm, deputies responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a GMC Acadia (SUV). The collision occurred at the intersection of Bufflick Rd. and Hanover Dr. in Clendenin. The motorcycle driver was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported via helicopter to a Charleston hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was responsive but sustained serious injuries. His status is not known. According to the driver of the GMC who is from Clendenin, she was making a left hand turn onto Hanover Drive when the motorcycle came from behind her vehicle and struck the driver’s side of her vehicle. This occurred in a no passing zone. The motorcycle driver is identified as Ronald Shafer, 50, from Sardis, Ohio. Again, his current health status is not known.
