On May 20, 2013, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Metro 911 received a call from a male who said he was at 7 Darlington Lane in Elkview. The male caller said he could see a deceased male inside the residence as he peered through a window. Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and secured the scene. Members of the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation also responded and began investigating the scene as a homicide.
The victim was subsequently identified as the resident at 7 Darlington Lane, 28 year old David Lemons. Lemons lived alone, and was found alone inside the home.
Members of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner assisted and will perform an autopsy to determine a cause of death. Detectives are still processing the crime scene. Anyone with information is asked to call our 24-hour line or submit a tip through our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us.
