On April 30, 2015 at about 1:30 p.m. Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Home Confinement Deputies attempted to arrest William Nottingham (31 years old of Big Chimney, WV) on Fern Ridge Drive in Big Chimney, WV. During the arrest he fled on foot toward the Elk River.
He was wanted for violating the terms of his home confinement sentence through use of heroin. Mr. Nottingham was sentenced to the home confinement program in October 2014 as part of a 1-10 year sentence for grand larceny.
Mr. Nottingham was tracked by a KCSO canine and handler, Brix and Deputy Dickerson. They located Mr. Nottingham on the riverbank. He was then arrested. He has since been taken to South Central Regional Jail to await a hearing before Judge Tabit.
