June 16, 2015: DUI Checkpoint this Friday

On June 19, 2015 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a high-visibility sobriety checkpoint.  The checkpoint will be located on U.S. Route 60 near Cedar Grove.

 

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office holds random checkpoints and participates in targeted patrols throughout the year to stop impaired drivers on the roads of Kanawha County.  Always remember to drive safely, and never drive while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

 

This detail is funded through the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.  The GHSP has asked us to also forward information about smartphone apps available for WV drivers:
