The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the shooting death of a burglary suspect near Belle, WV yesterday morning. Teams completed processing the scene early yesterday afternoon. Detectives are still conducting interviews and combing through the evidence collected.
The burglary was not a random incident. The homeowner and burglary suspect had known one another. Those looking into the incident are still working to learn more about the burglary suspect, his connection to the homeowner, and what led him to break into the house.
The burglary suspect was Justin William Jones, 33 years old of Spring Fork Drive near Charleston, WV. The name of the homeowner will remain withheld at this time.
