On December 18, 2015 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a 911 call was received at Metro 911. A caller at the Go-Mart at MacCorkle Avenue and Kanawha Terrace in Jefferson reported a man walking with one shoe, covered in blood, muttering he had just killed someone. Law enforcement officers tried to find the man but were unable to locate him at that time.
At around 10:08 p.m. another call was received indicating someone was found dead inside the Foxy Lady club at 6907 MacCorkle Avenue. Upon arrival Deputy Sheriffs from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office and a West Virginia State Police Trooper confirmed someone had been killed inside the club. The adult male was dead and there was evidence a violent incident occurred.
A short time later a man was seen at Grumpy’s Bar and Grill, located farther east on MacCorkle Avenue. He had blood on his clothes and told someone he had killed a man. At this time it is believed he is the same person who was seen walking past Go-Mart earlier. He has been detained by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives are interviewing possible witnesses and examining the crime scene for evidence. Additional information will likely be released later today.
