Today at 11:42 a.m. Metro 911 received a call indicating a shooting had occurred on Matchlock Road in the Davis Creek area of Kanawha County. A female said she shot her husband. During the 911 calls it was said four people were in the house at the time of the shooting. Neighbors dialed 911 to report hearing gunshots.
The victim was taken from the area toward a hospital and met an ambulance along the way. The victim was taken to an area hospital by a crew with the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority. An update on his condition is not available at this time.
Deputy Sheriffs soon arrived and detained the alleged shooter. Detectives are now interviewing those present, documenting the scene, and beginning to collect evidence.
Additional information, such as the names of those involved, may be released later today.
