Ambulance Personnel Injured in Crash

On Thursday July 11, just after 5:00 pm, the Kanawha County Ambulance Authority was responding to a emergency medical call with lights and siren through the Pinch area when they came upon another vehicle traveling their same direction. The vehicle was a Ford Escape driven by Tiffany Gregory age 29 of Charleston. Gregory yielded to the right but due to the lack of berm , abruptly steered left in an attempt to reach a driveway but also in the path of the van-style ambulance. The ambulance unit was attempting to pass at that point and could not avoid colliding with the silver Escape.

 

Ambulance personnel Christopher Harper and Wade Cox as well as Tiffany Gregory all received minor injuries and were transported to CAMC General Division for examination.

 

Tiffany Gregory was issued a citation for Improper Turning by Cpl. L. A. Grace the Investigating Officer.
