On Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at around 10:45 p.m. a robbery was reported to Metro 911 at 301 West Main Street, near Saint Albans, WV.  The clerk at that 7-Eleven store said a masked man entered, fired at least one shot from a pistol, then demanded money.  He left the store with less than $100 cash.  Deputy J. Endicott was the primary investigator for the robbery.
Witnesses were able to identify the suspect despite his disguise.  Surveillance footage was viewed by the investigating Deputies.  While they were still on scene Metro 911 advised the Deputies of a suspicious vehicle a short distance away from the store.  Deputy D. Meadows went to the vehicle and found the suspect from the robbery.
The suspect was identified by name by the witnesses.  When he was arrested he was still wearing some of the same clothing he wore during the robbery.  His name is Nick Trent Hanson, 21 of Hamlin, WV.
Attached is a mug shot of Mr. Hanson.  As is always the case in criminal matters, the charges against Mr. Hamlin are merely accusations.  He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
