The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office’s STOP Team arrested Anthony W. “Smitty” Smith (59 years old of Rand) for delivery of a controlled substance yesterday. The investigation into Mr. Smith began at the start of the year. When he was arrested at a residence in the 5200 block of Elaine Drive Deputy Sheriffs located three additional bags of suspected marijuana worth approximately $50.00.
As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Smith is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Attached is a mug shot from his arrest.
