On June 15, 2016 the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office’s STOP Team served a search warrant at an apartment on Greywood Drive in Cross Lanes. The search warrant was part of a larger investigation into drug trafficking and resulted in the arrest of Darrell Spicer, 59 years old of Cross Lanes.
Mr. Spicer was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. At the apartment Deputy Sheriffs seized more than 94 grams of heroin, eight grams of marijuana, and more than $7,000 cash. Mr. Spicer was previously convicted of several felonies and was on supervised federal probation prior to this latest arrest.
As is always the case in criminal matters, the charges against Mr. Spicer are merely accusations. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Attached is a mug shot taken during his arrest.
