On May 10, 2017 at approximately 8:45 p.m. a crash was reported to Metro 911 involving a motorcycle and car. The crash happened in the 7900 block of Sissonville Drive. Both vehicles had been traveling north prior to the crash.
The car was traveling north in the southbound lane, and the motorcycle was traveling north in the northbound lane. Excessive speed may have been a factor for both vehicles. The final event of the crash for the motorcycle was its striking a utility pole.
The driver of the motorcycle, Dallas Franklin Call, Jr. (24 years old of Sissonville), was pronounced dead on scene. Those in the car were not transported to a hospital, though they may have sustained injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours as Deputy Sheriffs analyzed and collected the evidence. The cause of the crash is still undetermined. As rulings are made criminal charges may be considered.
