Yesterday afternoon (January 22, 2018) on Willow Lane near Green Valley Drive in the Jefferson area of Kanawha County two suspects forced entry to a home. The two stolen multiple items and fled. They entered the house with guns during the daytime burglary. No one was home at the time of the burglary.
The back door was found forced open by the homeowner later that evening. Numerous items were stolen.
Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputies worked with detectives late into the night developing leads. As the investigation proceeded they arrested Eric Steven Duncan (26 of Saint Albans, WV) for burglary. Some of the property stolen during the burglary was recovered. He was unable to post bond and was later transported to jail.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating and wants help identifying anyone else involved in the crime, and recovering more of the stolen property. Tips can be emailed to tips@kanawhasheriff.us, phoned in to 304-357-0169, or submitted anonymously on our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us.
Attached is a mug shot taken during the arrest of Mr. Duncan. As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Duncan is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Below is a link to the surveillance footage showing the suspects making entry and leaving. To view the videos you must download the entire folder to your local machine, unzip it, then open the player’s .exe file. Through that the three videos can be viewed.
