Overnight the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office distributed a press release about a wanted person from Chapmanville, WV. The identifying information was incorrect and a wrong photograph was used. Though the two have names in common the wrong man was identified in our release, and we regret the mistake and will review how this misinformation was gathered then distributed.
The actual wanted person is Robbie Aaron Browning, 29 of Chapmanville. Mr. Browning was last seen wearing a black colored windbreaker and a dark colored “dew” rag. He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him please do not approach him. Call 911 to report his location.
