From the Office of the Sheriff Mike Rutherford:
Detectives from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office have been following up on leads and have executed a search warrant pertaining to this incident. The male who fled from the scene has been identified as Shannon Dewayne Fields, 39 yoa from Sissonville. A warrant has been obtained charging Mr. Fields with the breaking and entering at the Victory Baptist Church, located on Big Tyler Road in Cross Lanes.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shannon Dewayne Fields is asked to call us at 304-357-0169, email us at tips@kanawhasheriff.us, or submit a tip anonymously on our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us.
As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Fields is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Detective C.A. Boner is investigating this incident.
