On December 6, 2013 the Kanawha County Sheriffs STOP team received a tip that a male from Detroit, Michigan was in our area distributing heroin. The tip was investigated and the male was identified as Denzell Lamarr Bunkley.
Mr. Bunkley is from Detroit and had been in the area for a couple of days. Through the STOP Team’s efforts enough evidence and information was gathered to obtain a search warrant for Mr. Bunkleys motel room.
During the search several thousand dollars in cash was seized along with a quantity of Heroin. Mr. Bunkley was charged with possession with intent to deliver and is currently being held in SCRJ.
As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Bunkley is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Attached is a mug shot taken during his arrest.
