Yesterday, March 2, 2020, Metro 911 dispatched Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office to a breaking and entering at a cellular phone tower site near Cedar Grove, WV.  The first to arrive on scene was Sgt. P. J. Lively with his K-9 Arizona.  They began to examine the scene and its evidence, realizing copper wiring and other items were stolen.

Arizona tracked through the woods from the tower to a location in the woods were evidence was collected.  Property Crimes Unit Detectives investigating used the evidence to find surveillance footage of the suspects at an area business.  They eventually located and interviewed Charles Ryan Tucker (42 years old of Mammoth, WV) and Jeremy Lane Johnson (44 years old of Belle, WV).  Each has been charged with breaking and entering and damage to utility company property, both felonies.

This morning Mr. Tucker and Mr. Johnson were arrested and arraigned, and are now in South Central Regional Jail in lieu of bond.  As is always the case in criminal matters, the charges against Mr. Tucker and Mr. Johnson are merely accusations.  Each is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.  Attached are mugshots from today’s arrests.
