Yesterday, April 8, 2020, just after 1:00 p.m. a 911 call was placed from the Rodeway Inn on Goff Mountain Road in Cross Lanes, WV. The caller reported a shooting in one of the motel’s rooms. The victim (identified as Kent Treadway of Charleston, WV) was alert and transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
Witnesses provided a vehicle description, and it was also captured on surveillance footage. Deputies who responded gathered that information and broadcast the description. Another Kanawha County Deputy Sheriff spotted the car in Dunbar and stopped it, detaining the four occupants.
Among the occupants were Jahson Anthony Elijah Gresham (18 years old of Charleston, WV) and Isaiah Nathaniel Daniels-Boyd (18 years old of Dunbar, WV). Later that evening they were each charged with first degree robbery and malicious assault, both felonies. They were arraigned via video by a Magistrate. Attached are mug shots from their arrests yesterday.
The investigation is still active. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 304-357-0556, email us at tips@kanawhasheriff.us, submit a tip anonymously through our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us, or message us on Facebook.
As is always the case in criminal matters, the charges against Mr. Gresham and Mr. Daniels-Boyd are merely accusations. Each is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
