Today Joseph Douglas Campbell (42 years old of Dunbar) was arrested for accessory to robbery in connection with the July 12, 2020 robbery at Hot Spot in Dunbar.
Mr. Campbell initially faked being a victim of the robbery when Deputies arrived. During the investigation detectives came to believe he was involved, assisting others before they entered to rob patrons and the business.
Mr. Campbell is accused of texting Timothy Walding and Amanda Taylor before the robbery began, informing them of the age and number of people inside, and other details to help them plan before the crime.
A warrant has also been issued for Timothy Lee Walding for the robbery. We are also still seeking him for fleeing and a car-jacking incident that occurred in Dunbar after the Hot Spot robbery.
