A man has been charged today with the murder of his parents at 1777 Kanawha State Forest Drive, Charleston, WV.
This morning neighbors called Metro 911 to report suspicious behavior along their street. Takanao Kambara (26 years old of Charleston, WV) was going door to door at one point. At another he was piling up paintings across the street from the home he shared with his parents.
A Deputy Sheriff with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office arrived and located Mr. Kambara outside the residence. Mr. Kambara told the Deputy there were two dead bodies inside the house. He indicated they did not die naturally.
Deputies soon entered the open residence and located the bodies of Mr. Kambara’s parents, dead from apparent lacerations.
During the course of the investigation probable cause was developed to charge Mr. Kambara with the murders. He is charged with two counts of first degree murder.
As is always the case in criminal matters, the charges against Mr. Kambara are merely accusations. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
