April 9, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. we will be conducting a press conference at Metro 911. We will announce the resumption of Operation GPA for the season.
Kanawha County Schools has a plan for high school proms and graduations taking special pandemic related precautions. Deputies from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement officers, other first responders from the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority and other agencies, dispatchers from Metro 911, and school staff will work together to see to it these events are safe while students have a fun time.
The press conference will ideally be held outdoors, in front of Metro 911’s main entrance. We invite local journalists to join us. Please bring a mask in case we need to move indoors due to weather.
