This morning about 4:20 a.m. a crash occurred in the 4000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Big Chimney, WV. One person was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead. That driver, Barbara Facemyer (61 of Sissonville, WV) was driving a sedan, crossed the center line of the road and struck a pickup truck head-on.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. While there were no other occupants, a dog was in Ms. Facemyer’s vehicle and also perished in the crash.
The road was shut down during the investigation but was reopened this hour.
