Detectives with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office’s Kanawha Bureau of Investigation have continued investigating the disappearance of Eva Linda Woods (59 of Saint Albans). Suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance guided their efforts.
On Sunday, February 23, 2014 interviews were conducted and anonymous tips received. Probable cause was developed to obtain a search warrant for Mrs. Woods’ residence on West Main Street near Saint Albans.
While conducting the search the body of an adult female was found in an outbuilding behind the house. The body was taken by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy and identification.
