Detectives with the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation have been investigating the robbery of Chase Bank in Elkview yesterday. Initially attention was given to a gold Chevrolet Malibu seen leaving the area at the time of the robbery. As additional witnesses were interviewed and surveillance footage viewed it was determined the gold Chevrolet Malibu was not involved in the bank robbery.
Instead, detectives are now focused on a silver Pontiac minivan. That vehicle left the area and headed south on Pinch Road. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicle, identity of the owner, or identity of the bank robbery suspect is asked to call 304-357-0169 or submit a tip on our website at www.kanawhasheriff.us.
