On April 7, 2015 the Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office went to an address in the 100 block of Upper Midway Drive near Dunbar, WV. People at the house were part of a criminal investigation into drug trafficking. The Deputies are part of the agency’s STOP Team, a drug interdiction and investigation unit of the Sheriff’s Office.
A man in a vehicle parked outside was interviewed and then detained. His name is Larry Wayne Legg, 47 years old of Sissonville, WV. The vehicle was searched and 7.9 grams of methamphetamine (with an estimated value of $1,600.00) was located. Also found was marijuana and a large amount of cash.
Mr. Legg was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was taken to South Central Regional Jail following his arraignment.
As is always the case, the charge against Mr. Legg is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Attached is a mug shot taken of Mr. Legg during his arrest on Tuesday.
