On July 31, 2016 just before 2:00 a.m. Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Kanawha Two Mile Road in Sissonville, WV for a reported stabbing. Andrew Edens was stabbed multiple times in an altercation there. He was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center’s General Division by an ambulance with the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority for treatment to his injuries.
As detectives investigated they learned Mr. Edens was riding a motorcycle and traveling with his girlfriend who was in a car. They passed a minivan stopped in the middle of Kanawha Two Mile Road. The driver’s door was open on the minivan, and after passing it Mr. Edens and his girlfriend stopped to check with the occupants. His girlfriend thought she may have struck the open door with part of her car as she passed.
The male and female occupants of the minivan refused to share insurance information with Mr. Edens. The female, later identified as Morgan Shabdue, and male, Travis Wickline, prevented Mr. Edens from leaving. Ms. Shabdue stood in front of the motorcycle as Mr. Wickline kicked it. Mr. Wickline and Mr. Edens then fought. When the fight was over Mr. Edens drove to a nearby residence where he realized he was more seriously injured than he initially thought. A 911 call was placed prompting the initial response and investigation.
On August 4, 2016 detectives obtained a warrant for Travis Wickline, 27 years old of Charleston, for malicious wounding. Attached is a prior mug shot of Mr. Wickline.

As is always the case in criminal matters, the charge against Mr. Wickline is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
