At Security Guard for TMK Security was fired upon last night about 11:30 pm while guarding mining equipment in a wooded area near East Bank. The victim, Garfield Stone Jr. of Charleston was sitting in his truck when an unknown suspect approached on a side-by-side Utility Vehicle (UTV) and stopped approximately fifty (50) yards away. The suspect then fired two shots from what was believed to be a shotgun before fleeing back into the woods.
Stone also fled the scene and contacted law enforcement. Luckily, Stone was not injured but his truck did suffer some pellet damage.
