Yesterday, March 13, 2018, an eleven year old boy was walking on Circle Drive in Cross Lanes, going home from his school bus stop at Cross Lanes Drive. While walking a pickup truck going toward Cross Lanes Drive stopped next to him. A man in the passenger seat grabbed him by the arm and said, “get in.” The boy struck the man and was able to pull away from him, then run home.
The boy identified the man who attempted to pull him into the truck as an older white male with salt & pepper hair, glasses, and wearing a long sleeve shirt. He described the driver as a white male around the same age, with a dark colored baseball cap, and a brown chin strap style beard.The pick-up truck was described as a silver, two-door, extended cab pick-up truck.Deputies are reviewing area surveillance footage and continuing to investigate today.
