On Friday, April 13, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. there will be a press conference at Metro 911 to announce plans for this year’s Operation: GPA (Graduate Prom Alive). Representatives from Kanawha County Schools, Metro 911, the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority, and local law enforcement agencies will be present. Attached is a one-sheet with more information.
The program began in 2006. Since its inception there have been no tragic crashes or incidents associated with these events. In this twelfth year we hope to continue doing what works: develop relationships with students and prevent problems with presence and action. Please join us as we discuss the measures we collectively take to ensure students have safe proms and graduation events this year in Kanawha County.
