Last night the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a missing person complaint. James Cecil Moore has been missing since 9:30 yesterday morning (December 5, 2019). His family says he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and several other mental illnesses, and that it is unlike him to be gone all day without contacting anyone. He left his family telling them he was feeling suicidal and was going to a hospital.
Mr. Moore is a 62 year old white male, 5’8” tall, weighs 180 pounds, has dark hair, a mustache and beard. He was last seen in the Saint Albans area yesterday morning wearing a green camouflage hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and dirty, white Nike sneakers with blue accents.
Area hospitals have been checked, as have other locations. Mr. Moore remains missing.
