Over the last few days Kanawha County has had two armed robberies and tonight Deputy Sheriffs are investigating a shooting in the Cross Lanes area. While we can’t discuss the robberies in detail, since municipal agencies are primarily investigating them, we can stress to all the importance of being vigilant during our current situation.
There are those who would use a time of uncertainty and change to take advantage of people. This will not be tolerated.
While this pandemic affects our way of living bear in mind two things. One: it is good to take care of one another and help when you’re able to do so safely and following health department guidelines. And two: keep your guard up for someone who may try to take advantage of the changes and make you a victim.
We will be investigating tonight’s shooting and should have more details to release tomorrow.
