On March 12, 2014 Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office and members of the United States Marshals Service’s CUFFED Task Force arrested David Allen Young. Mr. Young was wanted for escape after he violated the terms of the Kanawha County Home Confinement Program. A Circuit Court capias was also issued relating to charges of robbery and petit larceny.
Deputies were following up on tips received after Mr. Young was featured on WCHS TV’s Fugitive Files segment last week. He was arrested at an apartment on Westminster Way in Charleston. He was arraigned at Kanawha County Magistrate Court where a bond of $25,000 cash was set. No bond was issued for the circuit court capias. Mr. Young will have to appear before a Kanawha County Circuit Court judge to have a bond set in that matter.

As is always the case in criminal matters, the charges against Mr. Young are merely accusations. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Attached is a mug shot taken today during the arrest procedures.
