A motorcycle group from Georgia being led by Sheriff Mike Jolley (Harris County, GA) are touring the United States to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. They will depart Baltimore, MD, Wednesday morning and arrive in Charleston midday.
When they arrive members of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office will provide lunch for the riders. We are seeking to help Sheriff Jolley raise awareness for the cause, and invite any journalists to come speak with them. Sheriff Jolley will be available for interviews, and the motorcycles may make for some unique photo/video shots. We will host the group at our headquarters facility at Virginia and Goshhorn Streets. As they near our area I will release another email with an estimated time of arrival to help anyone planning to attend.
According to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ webpage, they have raised more than $4.7 billion since 1983, donating the money to 170 children’s hospitals for research, training, equipment, and otherwise uncompensated care costs. West Virginia University Children’s Hospital in Morgantown is among those in the network.
