June 6, 2014: Motorcycle Ride to Benefit Veterans Cemetary

This Sunday, June 8, 2014, the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club will be helping raise money for the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetary.

 

The Blue Knights are a motorcycle club of law enforcement officers and spouses.  They often help raise money for causes the membership support. 

 

This ride will cost $20.00 per rider and $10.00 per passenger.  Registration starts at 12:00 noon, and will last until 1:45 p.m.  Riders can register at the Veteran’s Memorial on the Capitol grounds. 

 

They will begin at the West Virginia State Capitol at 2:00 p.m.  The riders will go to the cemetery in Institute, WV, and attend a presentation of colors ceremony.  Afterward they will have a picnic at the FOP Lodge #74.

The Blue Knights asked for the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office to spread the word to local journalists in hopes of increasing awareness about the cause and their ride on Sunday.
