Yesterday a woman was killed by a train as she walked towards it on railroad tracks near East Bank, WV. The engineer said she was in the middle of the tracks, but moved outside the rails after the train horn was sounded. She was still struck by the train.
An autopsy may reveal more insight but the reason why she did not move farther from the train is unknown.
The woman’s name is Tami Ann Gibson, 56 years old of East Bank, WV.
