On Friday, November 1, 2019, at 11:15 A.M., the West Virginia State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) will host a short ceremony to unveil the Back the Blue License Plate. This license plate is a result of legislation (House Bill 2846) that the F.O.P. and many others worked diligently to get passed earlier in the year which allows the residents of West Virginia to purchase a specially designed license plate supporting law enforcement officers. The plate will soon be available.
Many individuals who were responsible for getting the bill passed as well as family members of fallen officers are expected to attend. The ceremony will be held in the first floor lobby area at the W. Kent Carper Justice & Public Safety Complex, located at 301 Virginia Street East in Charleston.
